History





November 2004 -SUPRS Series born, Bobby Gangwer assumes League Director's role while John Davidson assumes Asst Director/Webmaster role. An ambitious 38 winged racing schedule is formulated and racing begins using the PSTM Mod from DRT. Intial league membership begins with 4 members.

January 2005 -SUPRS comes into contact with Mod designer Kevin Marine (Shaker Designs) and the first winged supermodified is tested and used in SUPRS race events. SUPRS receives use of its first dedicated server from Burn Boys Gaming/Truly Unique Computers.

February 2005 -Real Supermodified driver Joey Payne Jr joins SUPRS to race and help Shaker Designs with releasing a more realistic supermodified model.

March 2005 - SUPRS Membership soars. Peaking with a record 20 racers for certain events. SUPRS winged season comes to a close with John Davidson its first champion.

April 2005 - SUPRS institutes its "donate to race" policy by offering 2 types of membership into the league. Membership fees are used to donate to the Dion Parish Benovolent Fund and prizes for its members.

May 2005 - Shaker Designs begins development of a Non-Winged supermodified for use to SUPRS and testing begins.

June 2005 - SUPRS begins Non-Winged supermodified racing at Jennerstown Speedway. A 10 race schedule is released for summer racing. SUPRS awards real supermodified pilot Jon Henes at Kalamazoo Speedway MSA event in honor of Dion Parish.

July 2005 -SUPRS members lead by League Director Bobby Gangwer stage a get together/party for the Hy-Miler Nationals at Sandusky Speedway.

August 2005 - SUPRS Non-Winged race season closes with Jim Crannell crowned champion. Shaker Designs begins work on a new Winged supermodified for SUPRS.

September 2005 - SNM servers replaces Truly Unique Computers as the host for the SUPRS dedicated racing server. Oswego Classic see's many SUPRS members gather to meet, greet and take pictures.

November 2005 -SUPRS reaches 1 year old. SUPRS begins Winged racing series 05-06. Real supermodified racer; Randy Ritskes joins SUPRS. Veteran online racer Bud Flath is named Race Director for SUPRS.

January 2006 -SUPRS Welcomes real supermod racer -Lou Cicconi. SUPRS donates to Sim Racing Against Cancer. SUPRS secures Fusion Custom Graphics as a Race Sponsor.

February 2006 -SUPRS welcomes Ada Automotive in Ada, MI as the title sponsor for FLA Speedweek. SUPRS also welcomes real supermod racers - Randy Burch and Matt Palmer. SUPRS achieves its largest field to date when 23 pilots signed in for the start of FLA Speedweek.

March 2006 -SUPRS welcomes Tamarack Golf Club in Oswego, NY as Race Sponsor. SUPRS returns to Truly Unique Computers for its dedicated race server.

April 2006 -SUPRS concludes its 2nd Winged Racing Season as John SFJ Davidson repeats as champion.

May 2006 -SUPRS names True Henderson as Admin/Secretary. SUPRS donates a small gift to the 360 Supermodified Driver David Gassett for his son Chase who is battling an illness.

June 2006 -SUPRS begins Wingless Season #2. SUPRS also has 2 races broadcast over the internet through ECT Radio. SUPRS welcomes real supermodified driver Doug Heveron.

July 2006 -SUPRS records its largest field to date with 26 pilots signing into race. Curt Kern is named SUPRS Race Director. SUPRS donates to one of its own "Jersey Jet" Joey Payne after a horrific accident at Jennerstown in a midget after which they cut his driver's suit. SUPRS welcomes Brad Quesnell to SUPRS and work begins on a new winged supermodified mod for the winged season.

August 2006 -SUPRS donates to another of its own; Randy Ritskes after a big accident at an ISMA race. SUPRS has a banner and stickers completed for its members. 

September 2006 -Largest ever gathering of SUPRS members takes place at the biggest supermodified show in the nation at Oswego Speedway in NY. Tom Heveron's Beachland Cleaning Services sponsors the Topless 200. SUPRS sends small gifts to Chase Gassett and WSSRL's Jim Pasquin. Real Supermod Racer; Dave Shullick Jr joins SUPRS. SUPRS donates a small sum to Oswego racer; Otto Sitterly after a hard crash at Classic. John Davidson defends his Topless 200 crown and wins the 2006 points battle. SUPRS thanks Tom Heveron and Beachland Cleaning Services for sponsoring the Topless 200.

October 2006 -Real Supermod pilots Charlie Schultz, Jon Henes & Matt Palmer join SUPRS. SUPRS begins its 3rd Winged Chamionship Schedule. SUPRS donates to ISMA.

November 2006 -SUPRS reaches 2 years old. Real Supermodified pilot; Danny Kapuscinski joins SUPRS. SUPRS forms a rookie league for its new members. SUPRS thanks Tom Heveron and HGI for sponsoring the Randy Witkum Memorial. Oswego & Sandusky Speedway tracks now under development by Flash!

December 2006 -SUPRS Growth conitnues with over 40 active members. Including several top notch drivers coming from DRT.

January 2007 -Ada Automotive, MCSRacing.net, Beachland Cleaning Services, Showplace Landscaping, and HGI step up to sponsor several big races for SUPRS.

February 2007 -ASA/NSRA, Tamarack Golf Club, and Phone Zone all step up to sponsor big events fro SUPRS.

March 2007 -Rookie League Crowns its first champion: Patrick Sommers.

April 2007 -3rd season of Winged Championship Season comes to a close with first time champion: Myles Maxon. Ray Sand Jr captures the prestigious Summit Classic while leading ALL 125 laps!

May 2007 -SUPRS Asst Director John Davidson awards ASA/WSSRL Driver Jeff Russell a supermodified dedication award on behalf of SUPRS at the Vukovich Classic at Madera. 

June 2007 -SUPRS seperates into 2 divisions (Gold and Silver) as the 3rd Non-wing season gets underway.
SUPRS Awards the Dion Parish Perservance Award to ISMA pilot: Bobby Haynes Jr. SUPRS sends a small donation to injured 350 supermodified driver: John Leonard.

July 2007  -Thomas Video sponsors a SUPRS Race Event.

August 2007 -Beachland Cleaning Services of FLA renews sponsorship of the Topless 200.

September 2007 -Many SUPRS members gather at Oswego Speedway for Classic weekend get-together. Brian Finnegan caps off the Silver Division Championship for the Non-winged Season. Kris Heveron is crowned Gold Div. Champion of the 2007 Non-Winged Season while Myles Maxon wins the Topless 200.

October 2007 -SUPRS kicks off the 4th Season of Winged supermodified racing with a new mod from Quesnell Designs.

November 2007 -SUPRS welcomes "Cleaning for a Reason" as title sponsor for the Keystone Nationals on behalf of Tom Heveron. Several SUPRS members from coast to coast gather for the East vs West Shoot-Out at Concord NC.

December 2007 -SUPRS closes out 2007 with sponsored races by M40 Speedway and Twisted Metal Fabrications.

January 2008 -SUPRS welcomes 2007 WSSRL Champion Martin McKeefery to the league. 23 SUPRS Members race at the Cayuga Pro-Am.

February 2008 -HGI continues spoonsorship of FLA Speedweek. Tamarack Golf Club and the Maineiacks also sponsor races.

March 2008 -Sponsored races by Jesken Graphics, RW Woodworking, and Drive-In Web Design 

April 2008 -Jamie Hartley becomes the first Canadian SUPRS Champion by taking the Silver Division Crown. Sponsored races by London Honda and Jesken Graphics. Ray Sand Jr caps off a banner winged Gold Season with a Summit Classic win and the Season Championship.

May 2008 -John Davidson wins the Empire Super Series. Non-Wing supermodifieds are completed courtesy Quesnell Designs. Oswego Speedway in the final stages of testing.

June 2008 -Oswego Speedway completed by Flash. Sandusky Speedway now in development. 2008 Non-Wing Season kicks off for Gold and Silver Divisions. Gold events to be sponsored by Supermodified Scorecard.com, Showplace Landscaping, MCS Racing, and Beachland Cleaning Services.

July 2008 -Largest ever SUPRS gathering ever was at the Hy-Miler Supermodified Nationals in Sandusky, OH.

August 2008 -Jamie Hartley wins the Beachland Cleaning Services Topless 200, while Kris Heveron repeats as Gold Division Non-Winged Champion. Dave Biro III wins the Silver Division Non-Winged Championship.

September 2008 -SUPRS members gather at Oswego Speedway for classic weekend. Sandusky Speedway released in beta form Flash! SUPRS mod version 4 released for 08-09 winged season by Quesnell Designs.

October 2008 -Real supermodified driver; Randy Burch is awarded the Dion Parish Perserverance award. 18 racers checked in for the Silver Division opener at LaPorte for a new record. A record 31 drivers sign in for the Dion Parish Memorial race.

November 2008 -Speed Meets Art.com joins SUPRS as a sponsor.

Decemeber 2008 -SUPRS Silver Division continues growing into record numbers. Sandusky Speedway is released by Flash.

January 2009 -Myles Maxon wins the first ever race in honor of Terry Gibson. Star Speedway in development by Flash.

February 2009 -Summit Classic to be run at Cayuga Speedway for the first time ever. Sandman wins the prestigious Billy Vukovich III Classic.

March 2009 -SUPRS makes various charitable donations to super families in need.

April 2009 -Ray Sand Jr wins 2008-09 Gold Winged Series in a close fought battle all year with Might Myles Maxon. Rob Warren cops the 2008-09 Silver Winged Series.

May 2009 -Silver Director; Myles maxon heads up the Summer Series for Modifieds.

June 2009 -Gold Div. kicks off its 5th wingless season, while Silver Div kicks off its 3rd wingless season.

July 2009 -SUPRS Member Rob Warren completes the mobile pods for the purpose of gaining more donations and members. The pods first use begins at one of SUPRS biggest donation drives as a part of the Hy-Miler Nationals at Sandusky Speedway.

August 2009 -Sean Calhoun captures the Silver Non-Winged Championship. Devin Gee captures the Gold Non-Winged Championship. Silver Racer JR Radcliff dominates Topless 200.

September 2009 -Gene Lee Gibson is awarded the Dion Parish Perseverance Award.

October 2009 -SUPRS Kicks off its 6th Winged Season.

November 2009 -Through the SUPRS Pod program by Rob Warren, SUPRS is able to donate $250 to help in the recovery of Stephen Gioia III. SUPRS also donates to ISMA as a point fund sponsor. Happy 5th Birthday SUPRS.

December 2009 -Stafford Motor Speedway completed by Flash.

January 2010 -SUPRS Still Alive and Kicking

February 2010 -Bobby G wins Vuky Classic, Mighty Myles cops FLA Speedweek.

April 2010 -Mighty Myles Maxon wins the Gold Championship & Summit Classic, Joe Achzet cops Silver Title.

May 2010 -Small changes made to the SUPRS Non-Wing mod for better handling and stiifer damge for front end damage.

June 2010 -SUPRS opens its 6th Non-Wing Super Season for Gold & Silver.

July 2010 -SUPRS holds its annual get together at Camp G-Spot Hy-Miler Nationals weekend at Sandusky and thanks to the generous donation of Todd Gerold, SUPRS raises money for the benevolent fund. SUPRS thanks its many members for helping make this weekend a success.
